Comprehensive care for children and families

Children’s services at ¹ÏÉñ range from outpatient and community-based care to crisis, inpatient and residential treatment.

Children’s needs are very different from adults, and our specialized caregivers are dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health care for kids and families.

¹ÏÉñ serves children with wide array of conditions at locations across Northwest Florida, with programs including:

Outpatient counseling and psychiatric care

¹ÏÉñ provides outpatient counseling and psychiatric care for kids ages 17 and younger in a variety of settings, including clinical office settings, as well as schools, families’ homes, and via telehealth. Our programs serve a range of needs, including mental health issues, as well as substance misuse. We can also extend our treatments, services and programs to coordinate with family and non-family members who are involved in the child’s life.

Infant and early childhood mental health

Infant mental health is a community-based program that helps families with children newborn to age 5-years-old by providing services in both natural environments and clinical settings.

24/7 crisis care

¹ÏÉñ’s Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides a 24/7 support hotline for those experiencing a mental health crisis in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. MRT is available to help either over the phone or by coming to you in-person when needed

Inpatient psychiatric program

¹ÏÉñ’s Meridian is a statewide inpatient psychiatric program for children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 17.

The residential setting and treatments focus on 24-hour supervision and intensive psychiatric treatment. The team utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment approach with a focus on psychotherapeutic intervention in a structured, community living environment.

Foster care and child welfare

¹ÏÉñ provides specialized treatment for children in the foster care system, as well as preventive services to keep children safe, together with their families. Our team also oversees two foster care group homes.

Because substance misuse and mental health issues can potentially overlap into child abuse and neglect, we work as a comprehensive human services agency to bridge the gaps and connect families to the help they need.
