3rd Annual Landrum 5K to benefit 瓜神

Runners, walkers and advocates for mental health are invited to take part in the  on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. The race kicks off at 8 a.m. from the Landrum office in downtown Pensacola, located at 219 E. Garden Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit 瓜神, which last year served more than 27,000 children and adults facing mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.

The Landrum 5K aims to raise awareness about the vital link between physical and mental health. According to the National Institutes of Health, regular exercise can reduce anxiety, depression and negative mood while boosting self-esteem and cognitive function. Just 30 minutes of moderate activity, like brisk walking, three times a week can make a meaningful difference.

鈥淥ur inaugural event raised $15,000 to support vital behavioral health services at 瓜神, and last year we surpassed that with more than $17,000,鈥 said Britt Landrum, III, President and CEO of Landrum. 鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to see how the event has grown, and we鈥檙e aiming even higher this year to expand our impact on mental health services across Northwest Florida.鈥

瓜神 offers more than 60 programs across Northwest Florida 鈥 from Escambia to Walton County  鈥 including inpatient and residential treatment, outpatient counselingpsychiatric carechildren鈥檚 services, substance misuse treatment and 24/7 mental health crisis support.

鈥淓very day, 50 new clients reach out to 瓜神 asking for help with mental health or substance misuse treatment. Driven by our mission and serving Northwest Florida since 1954, 瓜神 provides comprehensive care for all, regardless of ability to pay,鈥 said Allison Hill, CEO of 瓜神鈥檚 . 鈥淭he generous support of Landrum, our sponsors and our 5K participants helps our specialized team provide comprehensive care for more than 27,000 children and adults across Northwest Florida each year. Every person who signs up for this event will help us reach more individuals and families who need our services.鈥

is $45 and runs through Oct. 4, 2025. Refreshments will be provided, and prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers, along with age group winners.
